The 2025 Conference of the Trefoil Guild Nigeria 1st International and 4th National Conference was a 4 days event held at Mitros Residence, Gateway Annex, Abeokuta, Ogun State

Theme: Embracing the Future: Innovation and Leadership in Guiding
The outgoing Country Chair, Her Excellency, Dame Dr. Christie Toby flanked by her Executives and members of the Guild, featured on a Television Program at OGTV on the 1/10/25 intimating the public on the activities of Trefoil guild for a 4 Days international Conference. She also announced the presence of 22 participants from other African countries. She spoke on the theme: (Embracing the future: innovation and leadership in Guiding) and its relevance at this time.
Dame Dr. Christie Toby thereafter, led Trefoil Guild National Exco lead by our Country Chair Dr. Christie Toby and our chief commissioner of NGGA Deac. Rhoda Thomas who happens to be a daughter of the soil. The team visited the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, HRM Saka Adelola Matemilola, Owu Abeokuta to intimate him of our activities in his kingdom and to thank him for his hospitality.
The Trefoil Guild members👩❤️💋👩 successfully hosted a Cultural Night as part of the international conference to promote unity, diversity and appreciation of cultural heritage.
💚The event brought together members from various NGGA States and guests from other countries.The colourful and lovely atmosphere was filled with music and dancing competition.💃
💫Ogun State Guides proudly displays Egba cultural artefacts, local delicacies, the adire attire worn by members entertained and educate members on the value, custom and pride in our heritage, what a lovely way to begin the conference 🎊🎊🎉🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🥳

Declaring the conference officially open, The outgoing Country Chair, Dame Dr. Christie Toby, emphasised the critical importance of demonstrating financial commitment to the Guild. In her remarks, she underscored the necessity for all members to fulfil their obligations through the payment of a one-time registration fee of ₦20,000 per member, in addition to other designated levies. She highlighted that such financial contributions are essential for the sustainability, growth, and effective functioning of the Guild’s programs and initiatives.
The conference proceeded with the final reading of the Trefoil Guild Nigeria Constitution, marking a significant step toward its possible ratification at the conclusion of the session. The session was ably led by Justice Sogbola Oluseun, in collaboration with Barrister Daba Harry, as delegates carefully reviewed the document to ensure alignment with the Guild’s vision, values, and operational framework.
Key note speaker Dr. Ayodele Olubumi inspires on the topic: African Women in Leadership; Shaping Communities Through Guiding.
TGN held its second elections to usher in new leaders to steer the mantle of leadership for the next three years. The newly elected executives include:

The Country Chair of Trefoil Guild Nigeria, Mrs. Grace Frank Ojobo, and the National Secretary, Anna Paul-Gindiri, featured live on PRTVC Pragramme "Tin City this Morning", Monday, October 27, 2025.
The engaging discussion focused on the vision and mission of Trefoil Guild Nigeria, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to mentorship, empowerment, and leadership development for women and the girl child.
The duo outlined the Guild’s core goals, including its ongoing mentorship programs, Menstrual Hygiene, Climate Change programme, skills acquisition workshops, and various empowerment initiatives aimed at supporting women’s growth and self reliance.
They also discussed the Guild’s involvement in climate change awareness campaigns, educational sponsorships, and community oriented projects that foster resilience and sustainable development.

Trefoil Guild Nigeria joined key stakeholders at the 2-Day Annual Roundtable on the Right to Development, held from October 27–28, 2025, at Odilin’s Event Centre, Jos, Plateau State.
With the theme “Sustaining the Momentum: Striving towards the Sustainable Development Goals in a Changing Funding Landscape,” the Roundtable brought together government representatives, development partners, civil society organizations, and community actors to discuss strategies for achieving the #SDGs despite global funding challenges.
For Trefoil Guild Nigeria, participation in this high-level dialogue offered a valuable platform to Strengthen partnerships and visibility among development actors, gain strategic insights on sustainable funding and inclusive policy implementation.
The programme focuses on amplifying advocacy for women’s empowerment and community development in line with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Trefoil Guild Nigeria's National Secretary actively participated in the communique' drafting committee.
With this partnership, the organisation remains committed to promoting inclusive, people centred, and sustainable development across communities.
